Discover technical career and educational opportunities at College of DuPage during the Information Technology Spotlight from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, in the Seaton Computing Center on the Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.
The event is free and open to the public. Attendees can tour specialized labs, meet with COD faculty, and explore careers and salaries in a variety of fields, including Computer Information Systems, Computer Information Technology, and Office Technology Information. Walk-ins are welcome.
“We really want to push how flexible the College can be when providing certificates in these areas for students,” said Linda Jonynas, Career and Technical Education Outreach and Career Exploration Coordinator. “A lot of what we have to offer is conducive to a working student’s schedule or a student about to enter the job market.”

The Computer and Information Technology program at COD offers a variety of degrees and certificates that allow graduates to pursue a career in a wide range of information technology fields. In addition, the CIT program offers a variety of certification training programs through its Cisco Networking Academy and the CompTIA Academy. These training courses are for individuals interested in advancing their careers or for students who want to specialize in a particular area of study and receive certification training prior to graduation.
The Computer and Information Science program at COD offers students the tools they need to enhance their computer skills and prepares students for jobs that provide technical and business support in a variety of settings.

The Office Technology Information program at COD offers three associate's degrees and six certificates that provide valuable training as students pursue a career that provides administrative support to any type of business or organization.
College of DuPage also recently was designated a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense by the National Security Agency. CAE-CD institutions address the critical needs of American cyberspace and enhances the abilities of cybersecurity workers in a strategic national security setting.
