FBI On Hunt For Two Serial Bank Robbers In Suburbs
The FBI is looking for two serial bank robbers who have struck multiple banks in the suburbs. One of the robbers has hit 8 banks this year.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Two men have eluded the FBI after a string of serial bank robberies throughout the western suburbs. One of the robber has struck eight banks since January and the other robbed five banks in the suburbs in one week.
Both men are considered armed and dangerous. FBI spokesperson Garrett Croon said in an email, "When someone commits a bank robbery it places many individuals at risk of injury of worse. Bank employees, customers, civilians, responding law enforcement, and others are all in danger during the course of and after a bank robbery."
The first suspect most recently robbed a Chase Bank at 22 W 151 Butterfield in Glen Ellyn on Tuesday. He is described as a black male, approximately 6'2" or 6'3" tall with a thin build, according to the FBI. He has a beard and often wears a button down shirt, a hat and sunglasses, bank surveillance footage shows. There is a $1,000 reward for any information leading to his arrest.

- This suspect is also allegedly responsible for several other suburban bank heists, including:
- September 18 at 7 p.m.: TCF Bank at 1156 Maple Ave. in Lisle
- September 20 at 6:22 p.m.: TCF Bank at 2128 Mannheim Rd. in Westchester
- September 23 at 3:15 p.m.: US Bank at 13521 S. Route 59 in Plainfield
- September 26 at 1:20 p.m.: Fifth Third Bank at 1801 Algonquin Rd. in Rolling Meadows
The second suspect is responsible for eight bank robberies since the beginning of the year, the FBI reports. He is described as a white male between 5'8" and 6'1" tall with brown hair. He is in his mid-20s to 30s and has a medium build. He often wears sunglasses, a button down shirt and a black coat. There is a $5,000 reward for any information leading to his capture.

- January 12 at 4:07 p.m.: Fifth Third Bank at 2323 63rd St. inWoodridge
- February 3 at 5:13 p.m.: Fifth Third Bank at 1635 Larkin Ave. In Elgin
- June 30 at 4:27 p.m.: Chase Bank at 175 McHenry Rd. in Buffalo Grove
- July 22 at 1:50 p.m.: Fifth Third Bank at 7150 Mannheim Rd. in Rosemont
- July 28 at 5:38 p.m.: Fifth Third Bank at 845 S. Elmhurst Rd. in Des Plaines
- August 19 at 1:25 p.m.: Chase Bank at 223 E. Roosevelt Rd. in Lombard
- September 25 at 11:40 a.m.: First American Bank at 8:30 Roosevelt Rd. in Glen Ellyn
- September 25 at 1:32 p.m.: Bank of America at 1425 W. 47th St. in La Grange
