Post-show discussion with director, actors and crew Friday, Feb.7

Della’s bakery in Winston-Salem, North Carolina is a landmark, largely because of the love and care Della takes in following recipes. When Jen, the girl she thinks of as her goddaughter, returns from New York and asks Della to make her wedding cake, not for one bride but two, it is hard for Della to follow one of her tried and true set of instructions for a perfect outcome. Faith, family and food impact one another in the discovery that love is the key ingredient to any recipe in this timely play from the writer of NBC’s hit “This is Us.” Play contains adult themes and language.

Back by popular demand, Hot Club of Cowtown returns to the MAC to celebrate its 21st Anniversary. “This trio’s stylistic genesis — as well as title — stems from the realization that the great heritage of strings (guitars and violins) originates mutually with Manouche gypsies of France and the no-less virtuosic hillbilly pickers and fiddlers of Oklahoma and Texas.” – Wall Street Journal

Specifically designed to make ballet accessible by all, Hiplet™ is a fusion between classical pointe technique, Hip-Hop, and a variety of other urban dance styles. Hiplet™ was created by Artistic Director Homer Hans Bryant in the early 90s, and became a 2016 viral sensation when Bryant's Instagram received recognition worldwide. Since then, Hiplet™ has traveled to Germany, France, Spain, South Korea and Hong Kong and been seen on ABC’s “Good Morning America” and Bravo’s “Project Runway.”
