Fire Leaves Glen Ellyn Duplex Uninhabitable

GLEN ELLYN, IL - The careless use of smoking materials is believed to have sparked a fire at a Glen Ellyn duplex, causing $50,000 in damage and leaving the home currently uninhabitable, the Daily Herald reports.

The blaze, which was reported shortly before 2 a.m. Friday, was contained to a second-floor bedroom at the duplex in the 1100 block of Londonberry Lane, according to the article. The rest of the home did sustain significant smoke and water damage.
