Floral Symphony Celebrates 30 Years At Glenbard South

GLEN ELLYN, IL — The 2023 Floral Symphony is set to celebrate its 30-year anniversary March 8 at Glenbard South High School, featuring live floral design with music from students. Attendees can win floral arrangements at the show, which benefits Glenbard South's music program.

The festivities open with music from Glenbard South students and continues until 9 p.m., with local florists busy clipping flowers and designing more than 30 bouquets throughout the event. There will be an intermission, which features more music from the students.

In addition to the impromptu floral arrangements, attendees can enter to win other raffle items donated by businesses in the area.

Fine Arts Department Chair Stephen Govertson, who helped organize the 2023 event, shared the following statement with Patch, "The Floral Symphony is a wonderful event that is now a 30-year tradition. It features great music from Glenbard South students, prizes raffled off from local businesses, and beautiful floral arrangements made live in front of the audience by local florists."
