Forest Therapy Walk Taps Into Nature's Benefits In Glen Ellyn
Learn how to tap into your natural surroundings for therapeutic reasons.

GLEN ELLYN, IL -- A new class in Glen Ellyn teaches its students how to tap into natural to receive therapeutic benefits from your surroundings. The session, which will take place June 3 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Lake Ellen Park, will be led by a certified forest therapy guide.
The forest therapy guide, Retta Hennessy, will lead participants through exercises in how to stay mindful and open to the various health benefits you can gain from being in nature. Hennessy will also share information about local ecology and how to use focused observation and other methods in an effort to alleviate stress through nature.
Fees are $10 for residents and $15 for non-residents and space is limited, so visit the Glen Ellyn Park District website to register for Forest Therapy Walk.
