Frank Napolitano Reappointed as College of DuPage Board Chairman

Christine Fenne, Daniel Markwell Reappointed Vice Chairman, Secretary

Frank Napolitano of Bloomingdale was elected to a second term as Chairman of the College of DuPage Board of Trustees at the Board’s annual Organizational Meeting held April 16.

Napolitano, elected to the Board for a six-year term in April 2015, initially was named Chairman in January 2019 and was elected to the position that April by his fellow trustees. He attended College of DuPage as well as DAVEA in Addison (now the Technology Center of DuPage). A former Bartlett Village Trustee and former U-46 School Board member, Napolitano currently is a state program manager with JetPay Corporation.

“I would like to thank my fellow Board members for their faith in me. These are very trying times for all of us,” he said, referencing the COVID-19 outbreak. “At COD, we have faced many challenges over our 50-plus year existence. The current challenges COD and its students face are very different to anything we’ve experienced before, but as an institution we are adapting and using technology to provide for our students. I want to thank the administration and faculty for entering this chapter with open minds and an eye on delivering the quality education so many have come to expect from College of DuPage. We will get through this and be stronger for it.”

In addition, Trustee Christine Fenne of Wheaton was elected to serve a second, one-year term as Board Vice Chairman and Trustee Daniel Markwell of Lombard was elected to his second term as Board Secretary.
