Free Assistance with Federal/State Tax Filing Begins Feb. 10 at COD

There is no income limit to receive this valuable, free service.

College of DuPage is offering students, faculty, staff and community members free assistance with electronic filing of state and federal tax returns in the Student Resource Center Room 3000 on the College’s Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.

Internal Revenue Service (IRS)-Certified COD Accounting students, under IRS-Certified instructor supervision, will guide participants through a seamless prep and e-filing process that saves time and money. Participants will also receive personalized advice to maximize their refunds. There is no income limit to receive this valuable, free service.

Sessions are available by appointment from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays, Feb. 10 to April 13, (no session held March 30) and select weekday evenings.

Participants must bring all 2023 pertinent tax information, the previous year’s return (2022) and banking account numbers if they would like to receive their return via direct deposit.
