Free Holiday Parking In Downtown Glen Ellyn

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Shoppers in Glen Ellyn will have a little extra spending cash due to free holiday parking at paid meters. Holiday parking kicks off on Thanksgiving, Nov. 23 and lasts through New Year's Day.

During the holiday season, downtown Glen Ellyn will have free three-hour parking at meters throughout the downtown central business district. These meters will be covered with holiday-colored bags to help shoppers know which ones are free.

If you shop in downtown Glen Ellyn during the holidays, you also have a chance to receive a free customer appreciation gift. The village will pick one lucky customer to receive a Chamber of Commerce gift check that can be redeemed at select businesses.

Shoppers can also take advantage of free three-hour parking in the Civic Center lot at 535 Duane St. and the McChesney lot at the intersection of Crescent Blvd. and Glenwood Ave.

Permit parking lots 2, 4, 5, and 6 will offer free parking on weekends and after 11 a.m. on weekdays during the holiday season.
