Glen Ellyn 2017 Halloween Sex Offender Registry Safety Map

GLEN ELLYN, IL — It's almost time to trick-or-treat for Halloween, so now's a good time to take an inventory of who is living in your neighborhood.

There are 13 registered sex offenders in Glen Ellyn; one of them is incarcerated. Each pin on the map shows the address of a registered sex offender in the area. Click the pin for the offender name, date of birth, and a list of their sex crimes.

According to the Illinois Sex Offender Registry, sex offenders are not permitted to pass out candy or wear costumes in public on Halloween. They are also prohibited from wearing "child-centered" holiday costumes, i.e. Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny throughout the year.

Parents can use this map if they would like to avoid trick-or-treating at these addresses or just as a way to know who lives nearby.
