Glen Ellyn 2019 Election Results: Districts 41, 87, More

GLEN ELLYN, IL -- The race for Glen Ellyn village and school boards took place Tuesday, April 2. After polls closed at 7 p.m., Patch was here to keep you posted with live updates as results roll in:

Village Trustee

Three spots were available on the Village of Glen Ellyn Board of Trustees. The three candidates on the ballot were:

• Mark Senak
• Kelli E. Christiansen
• Stephen A. Thompson

Glen Ellyn School District 41

Three spots were open for full four-year terms on District 41 board of education. Five candidates were hoping to get elected to the school board. The results are:

• Stephanie Clark: 1,417 votes
• Kurt Buchholz: 1,272 votes
• Jessica Buttimer: 2,581 votes
• Julie Hill: 2,515 votes
• Edward "Ted" Estes: 2,557 votes

Glenbard Township High School District 87

Four people were running to fill three spots on the Glenbard Township High School District 87 Board of Education. The candidates and their vote totals are as folllows:

• Mireya Vera: 4,177 votes
• Martha Mueller: 5,584 votes
• Margaret A. DeLaRosa: 6,063 votes
• John Kenwood: 4,697 votes

Community Consolidated District 89

Three candidates were vying for three four-year term positions on the school board for Community Consolidated District 89. The new board members are:

• Scott Pope: 833 votes
• Timothy E. Jedlicka: 817 votes
• Benjamin Alan Yates: 803 votes

Glen Ellyn Park District

Park Commissioner

• Ben Stortz: 1,925 votes
• Christine Wilson: 1,780 votes
• Paul O. Bischoff Jr.: 1,895 votes
• Jeff West: 1,492 votes
• Kathy Cornell: 1,902 votes

More than 95,000 headed out to vote in DuPage County Tuesday, which makes up less than 15 percent of the county's registered voters.
