The cause of the child's death is still under investigation.

WHEATON, IL — A Glen Ellyn family is grieving and looking for answers after their seven-year-old son died after playing at a children's gym and play space in Wheaton Tuesday. Brady Daniel Doherty died around 9:30 a.m. at My Gym, 43 Danada Square, Daily Herald reports.

According to Daily Herald, Doherty died while at the gym, but friends and family members of the boy told Patch he suffered a head injury while at the gym and died a few days later. Patch reached out to DuPage County Coroner Richard Jorgensen for more information, but did not get an immediate response Friday afternoon.

In the wake of Doherty's death, community members have begun to display blue ribbons in the young boy's memory.
