Glen Ellyn To Discuss Multi-Unit Building, Restaurant Proposals
The village will hold a meeting Nov. 9 to discuss proposals for a 48-unit development at Duane and Melrose and a restaurant on Main Street.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Glen Ellyn residents are invited to an open discussion of proposed developments that include a 48-unit apartment building and a restaurant, café and event space. The informal meeting will let residents give their input before the proposals are formally submitted to the village.
Developers are looking to propose a four-story, 48-unit apartment building to occupy just over an acre of space in the 400 blocks of Duane and Melrose. The proposed multifamily residence would include an underground parking garage in addition to parking on the ground level.
Also on the table is a proposal to renovate the space at 400 Main Street that was once occupied by Giesche Shoes, according to a release from the village. The development would include a new restaurant and café in addition to an event space.
