Glen Ellyn Man Accused of Punching Jailer
Mohammad W. Khan now faces an aggravated battery charge.

A 32-year-old Glen Ellyn man faces a battery charge for punching a jail sergeant in the head, Suburban Life Publications reports.
Mohammad W. Khan was in custody on a $300 bond for an unlawful use of a weapon charge after being arrested on May 14.
He was being brought into a courtroom on May 15 when he struck the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office sergeant in the head, according to the article. The officer was not seriously injured.

He has now also been charged with aggravated battery following the punching incident. A $10,000 bond has been set in that case, according to online court records.
