Glen Ellyn Police Host Car Show To Benefit Special Olympics

The free car show will feature classic cars, newer hot rods, police cars, and fire trucks.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — The Glen Ellyn Police Department will host a free car show to benefit Special Olympics Illinois on Saturday, Sept. 15. The car show will feature a variety of makes and models, from classic cars to newer coupes, gleaming in the parking lot of Parkview Community Church.

Police cars and fire trucks will also be on display at the car show, giving little kids a chance to check out the vehicles up close and personal.

If you're interested in showing off your ride, head to Parkview Community Church between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. to register. There's a $20 fee to register, which will be donated to Special Olympics Illinois.

The show runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and voting will be held at 12 p.m. Trophies will be awarded after the voting wraps up and raffle winners will be announced around the same time.
