Glen Ellyn Public Works to Begin Fall Tree Planting

Planting is scheduled to start the week of Oct. 17.

GLEN ELLYN, IL- The village's Public Works Department will continue its Parkway Reforestation Program efforts this fall by planting a total of 171 trees within the Village.

With a goal of having a diversified urban forest, Public Works is anticipating planting a number of species including: hybrid elm, Kentucky coffeetree, linden, Ohio and yellow buckeye, tree lilac, serviceberry, ginko, hackberry, hawthorn and crabapple.

Planting is scheduled for the week of October 17, weather permitting, according to a news release.
