Glen Ellyn To Vote On Recreational Cannabis

The village board is set to discuss and vote on the issue Dec. 14.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — The Glen Ellyn village board is set to vote Dec. 14 on whether to allow recreational cannabis businesses in village limits.

The village planning commission previously voted in favor of proposed zoning amendments that would limit the types of cannabis businesses to dispensaries only. The proposed amendments also designate the C3 zoning district along Roosevelt Road for cannabis businesses.

If approved, cannabis dispensaries must be located no less than 1,500 feet from a school.
