Glendale Heights Apartment Fire Displaces Families
No civilians or firefighters were injured in the blaze, Glendale Heights Fire Department said.
GLENDALE HEIGHTS, IL — More than one family was displaced from their homes after a fire broke out in a Glendale Heights apartment complex Friday afternoon. The blaze was reported just before 12 p.m. in the 1800 block of Somerset Drive, according to a press release from the Glendale Heights Fire Department.
When firefighters got to the scene, they evacuated the building. No firefighters or civilians were injured in the blaze, fire officials said.
The residents who were unable to return to their homes were given assistance by the Glendale Heights Police Department Community Outreach Specialists. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
