Glendale Heights Girl, 8, Escapes Abduction Attempt
The 8-year-old girl was able to scream and break free from a man who attempted to drag her away from her home Sunday afternoon.

An 8-year-old girl is safe Monday after police said she was able to get away from a man who attempted to drag her away from her home in Glendale Heights Sunday, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
The girl told police she was playing outside her home at about 12:20 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of Water’s Edge when the male ”grabbed her and tried to drag her away,” the newspaper reports.
The girl was able to break away and scream and the man fled the area, heading west on Water’s Edge, the Daily Herald reports.

The man is described as a black male with a bald head and a possible tuft of hair on the back of his head, according to the article.
