GPS event in Spanish to focus on Raising Resilient Children

Glenbard Parent Series hosts Ferney Ramirez on Thursday, March 21 for a special event presented in Spanish only

B-PAC: Glenbard Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee and GPS: Glenbard Parent Series in Spanish will present Raising Resilient and Confident Children and Teens with Ferney Ramirez on Thursday, March 21.

Psychologists agree that emotional intelligence has much more influence than IQ on a child’s lifelong success. Emotional intelligence helps foster happiness, grit and self-esteem. It is the ability to manage emotions to become self-aware, form healthier relationships, overcome challenges and manage stress. Ramirez, a popular psychologist, will share strategies for parents/guardians and their students to foster the skills that are an essential component of every teen’s learning and lead to a more fulfilling life.

This workshop in Spanish is directed to students and their parents/guardians. It will begin at 6 p.m. March 21 at Glenbard North High School, 990 N. Kuhn Road in Carol Stream. A light dinner will be served.
