Hadley Junior High Honored As A 'School To Watch'

Superintendent Dr. Paul Gordon called it "a tremendous honor."

GLEN ELLYN, IL -- Hadley Junior High School has earned some bragging rights. The Glen Ellyn school was recently named to the "Illinois Horizon Schools To Watch" list by the Association of Illinois Middle-Grade Schools (AIMS), a distinction that Superintendent Dr. Paul Gordon called a "special honor."

In a press release, Gordon said the selection process to make the AIMS list is "rigorous." Schools are reviewed for academic excellence, social equity, developmental responsiveness, and other factors geared toward student success.

Gordon recognized the leadership of Hadley Principal Steve Diveley and said the recognition was a "testament to the entire learning community" at Hadley. Roughly two dozen schools made the list of Schools to Watch this year.
