Hit-And-Run Crash Throws Cyclist From Bike in Glen Ellyn

Glen Ellyn Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that injured a cyclist Thursday near Bryant and Hill Avenues.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Glen Ellyn Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that left a female cyclist injured Thursday evening at approximately 8:30 p.m. According to police, a gray SUV or van struck the 52-year-old woman from behind and threw her from her bicycle near the intersection of Bryant and Hill Avenues. According to eyewitnesses, the vehicle then fled southbound on Bryant Avenue and turned east on Turner Avenue.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police are looking for the public's help in finding the hit-and-run driver. Witnesses described the gray or silver van or SUV as having multiple bumper stickers. Police say it's likely that there will be damage to the hood and and front end of the vehicle.
