Homeowner Hit With Lawsuit After Guest Falls On Staircase

Woman alleges lack of hand rails and guard rails created unsafe conditions leading her to fall.

A woman alleges she suffered serious injuries after she fell on a “faulty” staircase at a Glen Ellyn home.

Jeanette Jump filed a premises lawsuit on Jan. 8 in DuPage County Circuit Court against Matt Hanson for negligence.

Jump claims she was visiting Hanson at his home in the 800 block of Valleyview Drive in Glen Ellyn when she fell walking up his staircase on Jan. 11-12, 2013.
