Jazz Up Glen Ellyn Gets The Blues On July 11

This year, the Jazz Up Glen Ellyn: Blues Edition will feature live music, a jazz brunch, a kickoff party hosted by WDCB and more.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — This year, Jazz Up Glen Ellyn is getting the blues. When the annual festival returns to downtown Glen Ellyn on July 11, it will be blues-themed.

Jazz Up Glen Ellyn: Blues Edition will feature live performances from Fareed Haque, Joanna Connor Band and Frank Catalano.

Attendees can also attend a master class hosted by Catalano, go to a jazz brunch and attend a kickoff party hosted by WDCB.

The festival begins at 10 a.m. with a jazz brunch at Nobel House, featuring performance from the students and faculty of Belles Artes School of Music.

At 12 p.m., WDCB hosts a kickoff party at Maplewood Public House. The party will feature performances from DuPage Community Jazz Ten-tet and the Tim Fitzgerald Organ Trio.

Live music starts on the Main Stage at 2:30 p.m. Here's the lineup for the festival.

2:30 p.m.: School of Rock

3 p.m.: Windy City Ramblers, who will march to the stage from Maplewood at 2 p.m.

3:45 p.m.: The DuPage Community Jazz Ensemble featuring Tammy McCann & Devon Sandridge

5 p.m.: Bellas Artes School of Music Student Jazz Combos

5:30 p.m.: Joanna Connor Band

6:30 p.m.: Bellas Artes Battle of the Combos 2nd Place Winners

7 p.m.: Fareed Haque plays Grant Green with Tony Monaco

8 p.m.: Bellas Artes Battle of the Combos 1st Place Winners

8:30 p.m.: Frank Catalano Group

Admission to the festival is free. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own picnics.
