Jazz Up Glen Ellyn Slated For Mid-July

GLEN ELLYN, IL — The sounds of Chicago's rich jazz history will fill the air in downtown Glen Ellyn on July 15 for the 2023 Jazz Up Glen Ellyn.

The musical lineup is as follows:

3:45 p.m.: Opening ceremonies with music from Prohibition Dixie Quintet

4 p.m.: Artistic Director and Guitarist Fareed Haque performs tunes by Ramsey Lewis

5 p.m.: Chicago-style Jazz performance by Prohibition Dixie Quintet

5:30 p.m.: The Association for the Advancement of Creative Music

6:30 p.m.: Bella Artes Jazz Combos

6:50 p.m.: George Freeman performs with the Mike Allemana Quartet

7:40 p.m.: Music from the winner of Bella Artes Jazz Combos Battle

8 p.m.: Paul Marinaro Group

This marks the eighth year for Jazz Up Glen Ellyn. Following the performances, which will take place on Main Street from Hillside to Duane, attendees can pop into venues throughout downtown to catch even more jazz music.
