JDRF One Walk at the College of DuPage

JDRF held a fundraising walk on the campus of the College of DuPage on Sunday, October 8. Besides fundraising, the walk is meant to raise awareness of the need to find a cure for Type 1 diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is not caused by diet or lack of exercise, but instead is an autoimmune disease that often strikes suddenly, and for which there is no cure. JRDF is the leading global organization funding Type 1 diabetes (T1D) research.
