Jersey Mike's Handing Out 'Free' Sub Coupons Tuesday

Few people would pass up the chance to get a “free” lunch while helping to raise money for local schools.

If you are looking for a place to dine Wednesday, and don’t mind a submarine sandwich, you need to stop by Glen Ellyn’s newest sub shop. But, first you need to get a coupon.

opens Wednesday at 711 Roosevelt Road. But, on Tuesday Jersey Mike’s will be handing out coupons for a free regular size sub sandwich – with a small donation. 

The coupons will be handed out from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. today at Glenbard South and West high schools, according to .

Diners who pick up the coupons must make at least a $1 donation, which will be donated to the boosters at both Glenbard South and West high schools.

As its name alludes, Jersey Mike’s was founded in New Jersey, specifically on the Jersey Shore in 1956. In 2011, the company said it had 69 new locations across the country. The Glen Ellyn location is owned by Bud and Raj Patel, a father and son team.
