Volunteer Virtually with COD Cares and Help Serve the Needs of Others This Winter

Be Up to S.N.O.W. (Serve the Needs of Others in Winter) Good with COD Cares and participate in the community giving and winter collection drive, which runs Nov. 6 to 30.

Volunteer “do-gooders” may assist local community-based organizations by signing up to help fulfill an agency wish list or purchase gift cards for holiday gift or groceries. Online shopping is strongly encouraged to ensure the health and safety of Up to S.N.O.W. Good participants as well as partner agency employees and clients.

Now in its seventh year, COD Cares supports and strengthens College of DuPage communities by fostering a culture of service, raising awareness of community-based organizations and providing educational opportunities regarding issues that affect residents and students.

While the pandemic has changed some aspects of the collection campaign, College of DuPage President Dr. Brian Caputo said the need is greater than ever and the COD community is ready to launch another successful campaign.

“The College has a long history of giving back to the community. Even with the challenges of a global pandemic, we are still continuing our mission to support District 502,” he said. “Up to S.N.O.W. Good has made a difference in the lives of thousands of families served by our partners and we proudly continue to offer our support to these valuable organizations.”
