Along with teaching chemistry at University of Texas-Austin, Biberdorf has made it her mission to inspire a love of science for anyone who may find it intimidating, particularly young girls.

COD’s STEM programs offer an academic foundation for careers in STEM, as well as hands-on training to succeed in pursuing an advanced degree or career. Students learn in interactive STEM classrooms and high-quality lab spaces, including a state-of-the-art cadaver lab. Natural environmental areas on campus contain more than 40 acres of prairie and greenhouse facilities.

Serving more than 22,000 students each term, College of DuPage is the largest public community college in the state of Illinois. The College grants seven associate degrees and offers more than 170 career and technical certificates in over 50 areas of study.
