'Known Gang Member' Arrested for Selling Ecstasy Pills: Police

The DuPage County Sheriff's Office conducted a lengthy drug investigation into the Chicago man.

The DuPage County Sheriff’s Office arrested a ”known gang member” Wednesday night following an undercover investigation that resulted in a series of drug purchases.

Erol Abdui, of the 3900 block of Belmont in Chicago, has been charged with manufacturing/delivery of a controlled substance - ecstasy, which is a super class X felony, according to a DuPage County Sheriff’s Office press release.

During the course of their investigation into Abdui, which began last October, undercover detectives in cooperation with the Drug Enforcement Administration conducted a series of drug purchases totaling 1100 Ecstasy pills, according to the news release.

Following the investigation, a $1 million warrant was issued for Abdiu’s arrest.

He is currently being held in the DuPage County Jail.
