Car Burglarized In Broad Daylight In Glen Ellyn

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Glen Ellyn Police are looking for a suspect or suspects who burglarized a car outside the Spring Avenue Recreational Center. The incident took place in the recreational center's parking lot at 185 Spring Ave. on Nov. 28.

Police say the offender(s) entered an unlocked vehicle sometime between 9:10 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. They removed an Apple Macbook Pro laptop and a Dell Latitude laptop, according to police.

In 2017, Glen Ellyn police have responded to nearly twice as many car burglaries as they did in 2016, according to data provided by the police department. Most of these burglaries target unlocked vehicles, so police urge residents to lock their cars and keep valuables out of sight.
