Last Chance For Holiday Lights Recycling In Glen Ellyn

The village will stop collecting holiday lights for recycling on Feb. 1.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — If you've still got old holiday lights you need to get rid of, now is the time to take them to the Glen Ellyn Civic Center to get recycled. The last day of the village's holiday lights recycling campaign, which began on Nov. 27, will be on Thurs. Feb. 1.

Collection bins are set up on the first floor of the Civic Center to offer residents an eco-friendly option for disposing of their light strands. If you're running out of space to store old lights and extension cords or if so you have some that no longer work, bring them to the Civic Center before Feb. 1.

The village is only accepting strands of lights and extension cords at the collections bins and will not accept other decorations.
