Learn About Advocacy for Native Americans in March 23 Roundtable

The College of DuPage Native American Studies Committee, in partnership with the Glen Ellyn Historical Society and the Glen Ellyn Public Library, presents “Native Americans of Glen Ellyn: Past, Present and Future” from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, via Zoom.

Attendees will learn about the strong Native American presence and history in DuPage County and how to be an active ally for the local Native American community. Speakers include Glen Ellyn Historical Society Assistant Director Kirk Berger, Midwest Save Our Ancestor's Remains and Resources Indigenous Network Group Foundation President Joseph Standing Bear, COD Sociology Instructor Candace McCreary, COD Associate Professor of History John Paris, and COD students Mercedes Reza and Samantha Thompson.

A Q&A session moderated by COD Community Engagement Specialist Joan DiPiero and Glen Ellyn Library representative Josh O’Shea will follow the discussion.
