Learn The Art Of Crafting Hygge Cocktails At Maize & Mash

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Residents can take the warm and cozy vibe of the Danish concept of "hygge" to a new level at a special cocktail night at Maize and Mash, 430 N. Main St. The event, hosted by the Glen Ellyn Public Library, will be held on Jan. 24 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and will include a tasting menu along with a class in how to create delicious, hygge-inspired cocktails.

The class will be led by Garrett Turnquist, General Manager of Maize & Mash, who will share his hygge cocktail how-tos. Those in attendance will craft four 4-ounce cocktails that will pair with special menu items prepared by Stuart McLuckie, the restaurant's head chef.

The Hygge Cocktail Night is just one of the events Glen Ellyn Public Library has organized during the months of January and February to celebrate the concept of hygge.
