Local Couple Steals from DuPage Co. Walmart Stores to Support Drug Habit: Police
The Wheaton man and Glen Ellyn woman are accused of stealing more than $4,000 worth of merchandise.

A local couple faces charges after police said they stole over $4,000 worth of merchandise from Walmart stores in unincorporated DuPage County over a 60-day period.
David Shell, of the 2300 block of Appleby Drive in Wheaton, has been charged with two counts of burglary and three counts of retail theft. Heather Arnold, of the 300 block of Ash Lane in Glen Ellyn, has been charged with two counts of burglary and two counts of retail theft, according to the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office press release.
Police said the couple stole power tools, electric razors and calculators from the Walmart stores in unincorporated DuPage County and then sold the merchandise to pawn shops. The duois accused of stealing and selling the merchandise to “support their drug habits.”

Both Schell and Arnold are being held in the DuPage County Jail. A $75,000 bond has been set for Arnold. Schell is expected to appear in bond court today at 4 p.m.
