Lombard Man Arrested On Child Pornography Charges

LOMBARD, IL — A Lombard man faces felony charges after police say he was caught possessing and distributing child pornography. Alexander Rivas, 36, of the 600 block of Elizabeth St., was charged with five felony child pornography counts, according to the DuPage County Sheriff's Office.

Police say Rivas was arrested early Wednesday after an investigation that was conducted by the Metropolitan Emergency Response and Investigations Team (M.E.R.I.T.), along with the Lombard and Villa Park Police Departments.

Rivas is set to appear in bond court Thursday.
