Lombard Restaurant Chosen For 2025 Wine Spectator Award

LOMBARD, IL — A Lombard restaurant was recently honored with one of the 2025 Wine Spectator Restaurant Awards, which are given to standout dining spots throughout the United States and internationally.

The Capital Grille, located at 87 Yorktown Ctr., received Wine Spectator's Best Award of Excellence.

Of the more than three dozen Illinois restaurants to earn the Wine Spectator's 2025 Restaurant Award, only five restaurants in the state were given the Best Award of Excellence distinction. These are:

• The Capital Grille, Lombard
• The English Room, Lake Forest
• Parker's Restaurant & Bar, Downers Grove
• 1776 Restaurant, Crystal Lake
• The Tavern, Libertyville

The distinction of Best Award of Excellence is reserved for restaurants Wine Spectator deems to be "destinations for serious wine lovers, showing a deep commitment to wine, both in the cellar and through their service team."
