Lombard Summer Carnival Returns With 4 Days Of Family Fun

LOMBARD, IL — The atmosphere of Lombard's High Point Shopping Center will once again be filled with the sweet smell of elephant ears, the buzz of Ferris wheel lights and the sound of carnival barkers when the Lombard Summer Carnival returns in 2021 after taking a hiatus in 2020 due to coronavirus.

The carnival kicks of July 29 and runs through Aug. 1. Hours are as follows:

• Thursday, July 29: 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
• Friday, July 30: 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
• Saturday, July 31: 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.
• Sunday, Aug. 1: 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Wristband deals are available throughout the event to give carnival goers access to unlimited rides. Wristband deals are:

• $25 Thursday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
• $30 Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
• $25 Saturday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
• $25 Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Tickets are also available for purchase individually for $1 apiece at the ticket booth, where you can get 44 tickets for $40.

The 2021 Lombard Summer also brings a host of new rides, according to the carnival's Facebook page. The new attractions include the Fire Ball, bumper cars and Pirates Island, along with the return of the ever-popular Tilt-a-Whirl.
