"With Love From The Second City" At the MAC Valentine's Day Weekend.

The McAninch Arts Center (MAC) welcomes back The Second City for a hilarious Valentine's Day love-inspired comedy show. The Best of Second City: “With Love, from The Second City” is the perfect night out for those who love (or hate!) the holiday. Performances will take place at 5 and 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10.

In the world-famous comedy company’s latest side-splitting production, The Second City takes shots at heartbreak, missed connections and the mire of human relationships in an evening that is sure to elicit raucous laughter for couples and singles alike. This show features some of the best sketches and songs from The Second City’s history plus the company’s trademark improvisation, making it the perfect date night or evening enjoyed with friends.

The cast for the performance includes George Elrod, Chas Lilly, Cat Savage, Annie Sullivan, Max Thomas and Adisa Williams. Music Director is Michael Oldham. Stage Manager is Rebecca Gilman.

The Second City opened its doors in 1959 in a small cabaret theater. Co-founded by Paul Sills, Howard Alk and Bernie Sahlins, The Second City has grown to become one of the most influential and prolific comedy empires in the world, developing an entirely unique way of creating art and fostering generations of comedy personalities. Some of the best-known Second City alumni include Alan Arkin, Joan Rivers, Ed Asner, John Belushi, Bill Murray, Stephen Colbert, Steve Carrell and Tina Fey. The Second City has been awarded nearly 50 Jeff Awards recognizing theater excellence and honoring the company’s artists.

McAninch Arts Center, located at 425 Fawell Blvd. on the campus of College of DuPage, presents The Best of Second City: “With Love, from The Second City” at 5 and 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10.
