MAC Special Rush Discount for DuPage Residents for Tonight's Show

Ten years after the untimely passing of one of America’s most beloved pop stars, the McAninch Arts Center presents “The Greatest Love of All: A Tribute to Whitney Houston Starring Belinda Davids” 7:30 p.m., tonight only, Friday, Feb. 4. Davids will be backed up by a cast of international musicians, backing vocalists and dancers for a must-see full-scale concert event.

“The Greatest Love of All” features state-of-the-art sound, custom-designed lighting, LED walls, theatrical effects and a feast of exquisite hand-crafted gowns and costumes. But it is voice of South African singer Davids, who “went viral” after performing a stunning rendition of “I Will Always Love of You” on FOX’s Showtime at the Apollo in 2017, that is the star of this performance.

Houston’s most memorable songs get Davids’ spot-on treatment, including pop hits “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” “How Will I Know” and “I’m Every Woman.” The concert also features songs from Houston’s movie career such as “Exhale” (Shoop Shoop) from “Waiting to Exhale,” and both “Queen of the Night” and the Grammy Award-winning “I Will Always Love You” from “The Bodyguard.” And, of course the concert would not be complete without Houston’s iconic and timeless ballads including “I Have Nothing,” “Didn’t We Almost Have It All,” “Run to You” and “One Moment in Time.”

Full price tickets are $49-$69, however Half-Price Rush Tickets (subject to availability; restrictions apply) may be purchased by residents of DuPage County between noon and show time today (limit four tickets per order) at the MAC Box Office or by phone.
