Mailbox Uprooted, Brake Line Damaged: Glen Ellyn Police Blotter

Police responded to reports of an uprooted mailbox, a damaged brake line, and more in Glen Ellyn.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Police responded to a report of a mailbox being totally uprooted at a residence in Glen Ellyn. The incident took place in the 100 block of Stableford on Dec. 12.

The victim told police he discovered his mailbox had been "completely removed from the ground" sometime between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Police are still looking for the suspect(s).

On Dec. 13, a resident reported that someone had damaged her brake line at Budgetel Inn, 677 Roosevelt Rd. The incident was reported at 6:47 p.m. No suspects are in custody at this time.

"Porch pirates" allegedly stoled a package from a common area in the 300 block of Sandhurst on Dec. 14. The theft took place between 10:52 a.m. and 6 p.m. The contents were valued at more than $500.
