GLEN ELLYN, IL — Glen Ellyn's Main Street parking lot will be closed as of Sept. 1 to accommodate construction of the Apex 400 development.

Residents who use the Main Street parking lot will have to find alternative places to park, but will still be able to park on Duane and Street and Hillside Avenue or along the Park by the Path map.

The construction and the al fresco dining tent on Main Street will keep traffic on Main Street closed from Hillside to Duane through Nov. 2, when the al fresco dining tent is anticipated to be taken down.

In late July, a judge ruled in favor of the Apex 400 developers, despite ongoing resistance from Save Main and other groups in Glen Ellyn. The mixed-use development will include 107 luxury apartments and more than 8,800 square feet of commercial space. The structure will also feature a two-story parking garage that allows for public parking on the first floor.
