Main Street Railroad Crossing Project Gets Under Way in Glen Ellyn

Union Pacific plans a major replacement for the Main Street railroad crossing that will require the temporary closure of the Main Street railroad crossing.

The closure began on Tuesday, September 22. This major project affects pedestrian traffic as well as vehicular traffic.

Safety for all citizens being the most significant reason to close the crossing to all forms of traffic as Union Pacific completes the necessary replacement. Union Pacific repairs will be completed and the crossing reopened by Saturday, October 3.
