GLEN ELLYN, IL — An 84-year-old pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while he was crossing the street at the intersection of Harding Avenue and Park Boulevard in Glen Ellyn Thursday. According to police, the accident took place at approximately 8:30 p.m. as the man was walking west across Park Boulevard. The driver, 54, from Minnesota, was heading northbound when he struck the man. The victim was rushed to Good Samaritan Hospital, where police say he is still under the care of doctors and nurses. DuPage County Accident Reconstruction Team (DART) is working with Glen Ellyn Police in the ongoing investigation of the collision.
