Man Pulls Knife, Steals Purse In Memorial Park: Glen Ellyn Police

GLEN ELLYN, IL — A man armed with a knife stole a woman's purse at Memorial Park, according to Glen Ellyn Police. Law enforcement officials say the crime took place at approximately 10 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5.

The victim told police she had been sleeping before the robbery took place. She said she woke to find a man holding a knife with a silver blade and demanding her purse. The suspect fled with the purse, which police said was later found in some bushes at the Glen Ellyn train station.

According to police, the victim described the suspect as a Hispanic male.
