Multiple Cars Burglarized In Glen Ellyn, Police Say
Police say all the burglaries were committed on unlocked cars.

GLEN ELLYN, IL --- Police in Glen Ellyn are investigating multiple car burglaries that took place within just days of each other. A total of five cars were burglarized between the evening of Jan. 1 and the afternoon of Jan. 3, according to a police summary.
In each incident, the cars had been left unlocked.
800 block of Smith

Police say an unlocked car was burglarized sometime between 8 p.m. on Jan. 1 and 8:50 a.m. on Jan. 2. The victim told police that the suspect or suspect stole roughly $5 in coins.
300 block of Brandon

Someone entered an unlocked car sometime between 8 p.m. on Jan. 1 and 8 a.m. on Jan. 2 and stole a blanket, a box containing an umbrella, a red change purse, a handheld duster, and CDs.
400 block of Hill
Two unlocked cars were opened and rifled through sometime between 9 p.m. on Jan. 1 and 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 2. Police say nothing was reported stolen from the vehicles.
200 block of Traver
Sometime between Jan. 2 at 10 p.m. and Jan. 3 at 3 p.m., a suspect or suspects stole $70 in cash from a car that had been left unlocked.
