Murder-Suicide Leaves 2 Dead, 1 Severely Injured In Glendale Heights

Matthew Rose died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound and Jonathan Frandsen died of gunshot wounds. Michelle Vollman was also shot.

GLENDALE HEIGHTS, IL — Two men were killed and a woman sustained multiple gunshot wounds in an apparent murder-suicide in Glendale Heights Saturday. Police responded to a report of a disturbance in the 1400 block of Golfview Drive at about 8:31 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers discovered Jonathan Frandsen, Matthew Rose and Michelle Vollman inside the residence with multiple gunshot wounds. Police say Rose had an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. Frandsen, who had several gunshot wounds, was also pronounced dead on the scene, according to a press release.

Vollman had also been shot multiple times, but was partially conscious when emergency crews arrived. She was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove for treatment.

Glendale Heights Police are investigating the matter as a murder-suicide. They say there are no suspects and the community is in no danger.
