Naperville man Charged in Bartlett Standoff, Bomb Threat

Mark H. Armorer now faces felony charges following the Oct. 2 stand off at Rana Meal Solutions in Bartlett.

A 25-year-old Naperville man has been charged in connection with a five-hour standoff and bomb threat at a pasta manufacturing plant in Bartlett, police said.

Mark H. Armorer, of the 1300 block of Old Dominion Road in Naperville, is charged with criminal damage to property and felony counts of disorderly conduct and a a tampering with a security, fire or life safety system, the Elgin Courier News reports.

Armorer is accused of barricading himself inside Rana Meal Solutions LLC, 500 S. Spitzer Road in Bartlett, on Oct. 2, according to the Daily Herald. Police searched the building, found the suspect and were able to take him into custody with no struggle, the newspaper reports.

Police said Armorer indicated he had an explosive device and two local schools were placed on lockdown after Armorer allegedly mentioned the Rana building was going to blow up, the Elgin Courier News reports. His bond has been set at $50,000.
