GLEN ELLYN, IL — A Native American Cultural And Environmental Center has been approved to occupy McKee House in Glen Ellyn.

The project comes after an agreement was inked between the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County and the Midwest SOARRING Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports Native American traditions.

The focus of the Native American Cultural And Environmental Center will be a museum, a library, an art gallery and meeting rooms in McKee House, which will be restored. Public gardens will be added to the grounds, along with a Native American longhouse.
