New Glen Ellyn Police Station Hosts Open House

The new Glen Ellyn Police Station will host free tours for the community on Friday, June 9 and Saturday, June 10.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — The Glen Ellyn Police Department is hosting an open house to allow residents to tour the newly completed police station and take part in fun activities. These open houses will allow villagers to have a sneak peek of the facility before it officially opens.

The open house events will take place on Friday, June 9, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday, June 10, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the police station’s new location at 65 South Park Boulevard in Glen Ellyn. The 29,000 square foot facility will include a community room for local meetings and educational events, along with an emergency operations center to serve as a meeting point for training, criminal investigations and community emergencies. The new space is also designed for increased storage of evidence and safer housing and intake of inmates.

The new Glen Ellyn Police Station is set to open some time in mid-June, but residents and their kids can enjoy touring the space in person or virtually at the village’s website.
